Gearing up for summer!

12:49:00 PM

This year we are excited to be hosting 8 different summer camps for kids ranging in ages from 4 yrs to 13! Each week offers an exciting theme and is geared to a specific age group. Your can read all about each exciting week of camp here.

Check out our summer art camps!

This year we are bringing back some of our popular camps from years past including the Reggio inspired mini camp from last year. This one is geared to our little artists and focuses on process based art as self expression. Children age 4-6 will spend three days exploring various mediums and experimenting to see the possibilities with each. For this camp we will incorporate nature as a medium for creative expression as well as music and story.

We will also be revisiting our popular fairytale camp from a couple of years ago with the Fairies, Gnomes, and Magical Creatures camp for ages 7-11. Children will let their imagination run wild as they explore various art and craft projects and create their own fairy land adventure!

This year of course we will also have some new themes to explore. We will be joined by Mama Gayle for the June camps. She will be supplying us with music and story to pair with the visual art projects. Two of the June camps will center around the art of storytelling. For the older group 9-13 year olds we will focus on creating and illustrating our own Sci-Fi and fantasy stories while our younger kids age 6-9 will create fantasy stories built around woodland creatures

We will also be spending a week exploring YouTube tutorials and challenges! This camp for ages 9-13 was inspired by my own children and their love of YouTube videos! We will make slime, marble paper, explore fluid acrylics, and even design our own "challenges."

Mmmmm, the joy of slime!
We will also be joined by Blooming youth Yoga and Creating Mindfulness for a week geared to self expression and self care through art and yoga! This week Creative Self-Care campers age 7-13 will learn ways to use their creative energy for self expression! We will combine exploitative visual art techniques, guided meditation practices geared to children, and yoga throughout this relaxing and restorative week of camp!

Kids age 6-9 are sure to enjoy exploring color through creative play in our Discover the Rainbow camp. This fun week of camp will center around all things rainbow. Campers will get plenty of practice mixing colors and creating their own colorful art during this week of camp!

For our final week of camp we will be joined by White Buffalo Children's Boutique and LOX salon as campers age 9-13 explore their own unique and personal style...just in time to go Back to School in Style! This week Brynn will teach the campers all about hair, makeup, and a bit of fashion!

Fun exploring makeup, fashion, and hair!

 Open Studio

This summer we will also be having daily (M-F) open studio sessions from 1:00-3:00! These sessions are a great way for you and your kids to beat the heat of the day while you explore your own inner creativity!
We have a variety of traditional and non-traditional supplies for you to use!

Our studio supplies will be available for you to stretch your imagination and enjoy some creative play time. There are no set projects or lessons, you are free to create whatever you wish! There will be plenty of samples and projects around to inspire you and an attendant will be on hand to help you get started! Walk ins will be welcome during these sessions, but all artists must be checked in by 2:00 to ensure enough time for creative play!

*Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult during these open studio sessions.

A Bird Sculpture, A Movie Projector, A Playground, and a House all made during Open Studio Sessions!

We look forward to seeing you this summer at the Art Studio!
