2016 Creative Gift Guide

Do you need an idea for the creative types on your Holiday gift list? Well I have done the shopping for you! Here are a few of my favorites for Kids and Adults and where to get them!

For Kids

1.
Seedling Craft Kits
These unique craft kits by Seedling are so awesome. They are sure to provide your creative kiddo with lots of fun this Holiday Season! There are so many to choose from like these two pictured or perhaps a design your own yo-yo? I think my favorite is the design your own cardboard speakers! Many of these kits are in the $20-$30 range and can be found online or if you are local we have them in our gift shop at the studio!

Kiwi Crate
Kiwi Crates are a kids subscription boxes. They offer boxes geared to kids from preschool to teen. Each box contains art or science/engineering (STEAM Projects) to keep you little makers creating all year. Price depends on subscription length (1 mo, 3 mo, 6 mo, or 1 yr) and is charged monthly. Xonex® Just Art Set
This is a great art set for kids filled with colored pencils, oil pastels, and watercolor paints. For just $15.98 too! My kid was given this as a birthday gift one year and she absolutely loved it! She loved that she could decorate the plain cardboard cover making it uniquely her own. This fun box can be found online here.

Sculpey Polymer Clay Set
Kids love clay and this fun set is perfect. Polymer clay can be baked in the home oven allowing your child's art to last. They can make jewelry, sculptures, and more. Sculpey can be purchased locally at Jerry's Artarama or on Jerry's Website.

Beehive Art Tinkering Kit
Kids love to tinker and this kit by Beehive won't disappoint. This kit and others can be found on Etsy at the Kimbeehive shop. $25.00


For Adults


1.
Art Snacks 
Art Snacks is a monthly subscription of awesome art supplies! You can order a one month subscription $24, 3 months $72, 6 months $132, or a full year $240! These supplies are high quality and sure to inspire creativity plus who doesn't love receiving a surprise package in the mail filled with goodies? Chameleon Markers
Chameleon markers are super fun to color with. they are a professional quality alcohol based marker that can create beautiful gradients. They are perfect for the colorists on your shopping list! They range from $20-$80 depending on package. They can be bought on Amazon here.

Needle Felting Kit
These little needle felting kits are great for beginners. I find needle felting to be very therapeutic! It is easy to learn and a ton of fun. These little kits can be found here on Amazon for around $8 and they come with everything you need to get started.

String Art Kit by StringoftheArt
These DIY string art kits are a ton of fun to make. These run about $60 and the shop StringoftheArt can be found on Etsy so you get the peace of mind that you are shopping with a small artisan crafter! They have a bunch of fun designs to choose from so you are bound to find the perfect gift for your 
loved one.

Beginner Wood Burning Kit by HandmadeCraftSupply
Wood burning is a new hobby of mine, but I absolutely love it! This fun kit found on Etsy by HandmadeCratSupply has everything you need to get started including patterns, wood burning pen, and wood plaques and for around $35 you can't go wrong!
