Here at the Basement Community art studio it is our mission to make art accessible to the greater Knoxville community. We offer a variety of art events throughout the month which reach children and adults of all ages and ability levels. We believe that each person can benefit from a creative outlet. We try to offer a variety of options which speak to different interests and abilities.

Since the beginning we have thrived on donated materials and supplies which help us to keep our costs down for our open studio. It is because of all of the generous donations that we can offer our open studio for just $10 per artist with no time limit during our open studio hours!

The donated items also help keep our inventory of supplies fresh and interesting. Our favorite area of the studio are our large tinkering bins which have inspired many creative thinkers with projects like these:

Cash Donations

We would love to expand our reach to the community by offering scholarships to our various classes. We have started a Go Fund Me account in order to get this program started! Our initial goal is $1000 which would allow us to offer one scholarship for each of our summer camps this year!
